Alcatel OT980 Android smartphone launched in the UK

Alcatel has launched its first Android phone namely Alcatel OT-980 in the UK. Alcatel OT-980 runs Android 2.1 OS.

Alcatel OT-980 features a 2.8 inch QVGA resistive touchscreen with resolution of 240×320 pixel, vertical slide-out QWERTY keyboard, 2 megapixel camera, compass, 70MB internal memory and microSDHC card slot.

Alcatel OT-980 supports Quad-Band 2G / Dual-Band 3G + HSPA network and features GPRS, Bluetooth 2.0, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g, EDGE and USB connectivity.

Alcatel OT-980will be available in October in the UK for £99.95 on pay as you go at Carphone Warehouse.
