RIM will soon launch a new BlackBerry smartphone, the BlackBerry Dakota. The BlackBerry Dakota runs on BlackBerry OS 6.1. It supports quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE and UMTS/HSDPA network.

BlackBerry Dakota comes with a 2.8 VGA capacitive display with a resolution of 640 x 480 pixels, five megapixel camera, and 720p HD video recording. BlackBerry Dakota also features Near Field Communication (NFC), 3G mobile hotspot, 768MB of RAM, 4GB inbuilt memory, proximity sensor, accelerometer, magnetometer, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, and microUSB port.
