Acer has officially announced the Aspire Timeline 1810T, the company’s latest CULV ultraportable and the effective substitute to the Aspire One 751. Two general specifications are available, the Timeline 1810T-352G25n and the Timeline 1810T-353G25n. The official announcement is yet to be made but the system has already made an appearance on the company’s website, which is a good indication that it will soon become available in stores.
The 1810T-352G25n comes with Core 2 Solo SU3500 CULV 1.4GHz processor, 2GB of RAM and 250GB hard-drive while the 1810T-353G25n with up to a 320GB hard drive and 3GB of RAM plus 3G connectivity. The notebooks operate on Intel Core 2 Solo processor, Intel GMA 4500MHD graphics and one SATA hard disc drive.
The device also features a 5-in-1 media card reader, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g or a/b/g/n and Bluetooth 2.0+EDR connectivity, an integrated Acer Crystal Eye webcam and microphone for conference applications.
For better connectivity, there are three USB 2.0 ports, one HDMI connector, VGA port, headphones out and mic-in, Ethernet RJ-45 jack and a DC-in jack for the AC adapter. Additional features include the Kensington lock, MultiMediaCard, Memory Stick,Memory Stick PRO, xD-Picture Card and supporting Secure Digital.
The Acer Aspire Timeline 1810T features a 11.6-inch LCD display with a 1366×768 resolution. It will come with a 6-cell 5600mAh Li-ion battery that the company claims should last for 8 hours. The dimensions of the device are 285mm x 204mm x 22.1/30mm and weigh 1.35 kg. It comes with the Windows Vista Home Premium operating system along with an option to upgrade to Windows 7.
The Aspire Timeline comes with one-year international travelers’ warranty. The new laptop will be available in a variety of configurations, with users being able to choose from three colors, namely Diamond black, Sapphire blue and Ruby red. The Timeline 1810T-352G25n and the Timeline 1810T-353G25n notebooks are priced at $711 and $853 respectively. Acer has not announced the availability of its 11.6-inch ultraportable in the US.
