Acer has confirmed the launch of its latest 3G smart-phone the Acer F1. It will go on sale in the UK on the 6th of October with the release of Windows Mobile 6.5.
The Acer F1 is powered by a Qualcomm 8250 1GHz Snapdragon processor, and will run on Windows Mobile 6.5. The device supports Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE as well as triband UMTS/HSDA/HSUPA.
It features a 3.8 inch WVGA touchscreen display with a resolution of 480 x 800, 5 megapixel autofocus camera with LED flash, 512MB ROM, 256MB RAM, and a microSD card slot that can support up to 32GB cards.
The device measures 118.6 x 63 x 12mm and weights 130 grams, including the battery. Other features include Bluetooth 2.1, WiFi 802.11 b/g, a G-sensor, ambient light sensor and proximity Sensor, plus an accelerometer and a 3.5mm audio jack.
The Acer F1 Smartphone will be available from the 6th of October in the UK for around £295 ($482).
