Acer announced the launch of its new Android 2.1 based smartphone, the Acer Liquid e. The Acer Liquid e comes with 768 MHz processor and runs Android 2.1 operating system.

The Acer Liquid e comes with a 3.5-inch WVGA capacitive touchscreen display, a 5 megapixel camera with auto-focus, 512MB ROM, 256MB RAM and expandable memory slot with up to 32GB with microSD card. The Acer Liquid e is also equipped with GPS with A-GPS support, 802.11 b/g Wi Fi and Bluetooth 2.0., HSDPA/HSUPA, 3.5 mm audio jack, accelerometer, proximity sensor and light sensor. It measures 115 x 64 x 12.75mm and weighs135g and is powered by Li-Po 1350 mAh battery.
Acer Liquid e provides instant access to web pages, smooth streaming of videos or music, and instant response from popular mail, maps and search applications. It handles five home screens by default, allowing users to easily install more applications from the rich selection available on the AndroidMarket, as well as shortcuts and widgets. It supports HTML5, double-tap zooming, video tagging support and geo-location API support.
Acer Liquid e will be available in Black, White and Red colors. The pricing details of the new Acer Liquid e smartphone are still under wraps.
