Last month Acer had introduced slim Timeline series laptops based on Intel Ultra Low Voltage platform in India now Acer has added Timeline 8000 series notebooks to the 3000, 4000 and 5000 series Timeline lineup. Targeted at business users and general consumers, the Timeline 8000 is available in three display sizes including 13.3”, 14” and 15.6” which all have a resolution of 1,366 x 768.
The professional notebooks, designed for “no-compromise performance, superior security and trouble-free manageability”, feature a choice of ultra-low-voltage (ULV) Intel Core 2 Duo or Intel Core 2 Solo processors and claim more than eight hours of battery life from a single charge. Up to 4GB or 8GB DDR3 RAM would be packed as per the 32-bit or 64-bit operating system chosen. Storage features either 160GB or 500GB HDD or 80GB Intel X25-M SSD. Graphics options include Intel’s GMA 4500MHD or users can choose discrete ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4330 graphics card.
The other notable features of Timeline 8000 series laptops include a multi touch trackpad, a memory card reader, Bluetooth, 802.11n, support of WLAN to Draft-N wireless standard for better wireless Internet connectivity. Four USB ports on the 15.6inch model and three on the 14inch ad 13.3inch are available.
