ASUS, a leading manufacturer of motherboards, graphics cards, portable computer systems and hardware components, has officially introduced the new K-series, Asus K40IN-A1 which packs an Intel Core 2 Duo T6400 processor, and Asus Super Hybrid Engine technology.
The Asus K40IN-A1 measures 13.4 x 9.5 x 1.5 inches and weighs in at 5.3 pounds, runs on Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium operating system. The laptop features an LED backlit display with a 16:9 aspect ratio for widescreen viewing.
The K40IN is equipped with the NVIDIA® GeForce® G102M, which uses 512MB of memory to accelerate 1080p high definition video playback, photo and video editing, video transcoding, and casual gaming. The GeForce® G102M uses 30%, less power resulting in longer battery life per charge.
Additional features include up to 4GB RAM and an up to 320GB hard drive. There’s also an integrated Super Multi DVD optical drive, a 3-in-1 card reader, 1.3 megapixel web camera, integrated WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n and Gigabit Ethernet and Altec Lansing speakers with SRS surround sound support. It also has a 6-cell battery to provide a battery life of up to 5 hours.
It will be available at a price tag of $849.99. The Asus K series laptops are now available in the United States.
