Asus introduces new ROG Crosshair III Formula motherboard

Asus, a producer of motherboards has launched the ROG (Republic of Gamers) Crosshair III Formula. The new ROG Crosshair III Formula motherboard is based on AMD 790FX chipset which also exists in the M4 series Asus motherboards – M4A76T Deluxe and M4A79 Deluxe.

The Asus Crosshair III Formula has an AMD 790FX chipset along with the AM3 socket. The motherboard also sports Asus’ innovative MemOK memory resource tool that helps take care of memory-related problems. In case of boot failures after installing a new RAM, users simply have to press an easily accessible button on the motherboard that will allow MemOK to auto-load the failsafe settings. This aids in quick and efficient detection and resolving of memory issues.

Gamers can add more than one ATI graphics card on this motherboard since it is ATI CrossFireX configuration ready. And to match up to the gaming needs, the board comes with a SupremeFX X-Fi sound card, X-Fi CMSS3D and Crytalizer which provide the user with high quality audio. Supported by the ROG OC Station, the motherboard allows gamers to monitor the product’s features, fan speeds, overclocking parameters, and system information.

Other features of the AM3 motherboard include CPU Level Up, Keyboard-TweakIt, Extreme Tweaker, iROG, Loadline Calibration, LCD Poster and Voltiminder LED. The motherboard has a system bus speed of up to 5200 MT/s with HyperTransport 3.0 and is compatible with AMD socket AM3 Phenom II, Athlon X4, Athlon X3 and Athlon X2 processors. It also is bundled with the AMD 790FX chipset, ATI CrossFireX multi-GPU, Gigabit LAN, 12 x USB2.0 and 2 x 1394a ports. With 4 x DIMM, Dual Channel, up to 16GB DDR3 1600/1333/1066MHz memory the motherboard also has three PCIe2.0 x 1 slots, two PCIe2.0 x 16 slots and a PCI 2.2 slot.

Asus will be offering this gaming motherboard at Rs. 13,500, excluding taxes.
