Research In Motion has also announced the launch of latest smartphone dubbed as the Blackberry Pearl 3G. The Blackberry Pearl 3G is powered by a 624 Mhz processor. The Pearl 3G will be available in two models. The 9100 model has a 20 key condensed QWERTY keyboard and the 9105 model has a traditional 14 key phone keypad.

The Pearl 3G candybar features a 360 x 400 pixel display, 3.2 megapixel camera with autofocus and video recording, optical trackpad, dedicated volume and media keys, 256 MB RAM and support for up to 32 GB of microSD/SDHD memory card slot. The Pearl 3G supports tri-band UMTS/HSDPA and quad-band EDGE/GPRS/GSM networks.high-speed 3G (UMTS/HSDPA) networks.

The Pearl 3G also features Wi-Fi (b/g/n), Bluetooth 2.1, built-in GPS receiver. Other features of the new BlackBerry Pearl 3G smartphone includes Media player for videos, pictures and music (music plays up to 30 hours), support for BlackBerry Media Sync, and access to BlackBerry email, messaging and social networking. It is powered by 1150mAh battery that gives up to 5.5 hours of talk time on 3G network. It measures 108 x 50 x 13.3 mm and weighs 93 grams and will be available in Piano Black, Opal Pink, Royal Purple, Flash White and Red Gradient colors.
The Pearl 3G will be available in May 2010.
