Casio announced a new compact superzoom addition to their line of compact Exilim digital cameras the EXILIM Hi-Zoom EX-H10. Company also claims it’s the thinnest and lightest camera in its class.

The 12.1-megapixel Casio Exilim Hi-Zoom EX-H10 digital camera has an ultra-wide10x optical zoom lens (24-240mm – 35mm equivalent), a 3-inch LCD, and an estimated 1000 shots per battery charge, CCD-shift image stabilization, max ISO 3200 sensitivity, dynamic photo function that coverts JPEGs into a motion movie file and 720p video recording capability at 30 fps.

The new Casio Exilim EX-H10 camera is the Exilim Engine 4, which delivers higher image quality and lower power consumption in an even more compact package. The new Engine’s Multi-CPU is specifically designed for high-speed image processing.

“The development of the ultra-wide angle 24mm continues Casio’s dedication to creating digital cameras that are packed with innovative features and new technology,” said Toshiyuki Iguchi, Senior General Manager of Casio’s Digital Imaging Division at Casio America, Inc. “This new feature gives our camera enthusiasts the opportunity to capture their extraordinary moments in a variety of shooting environments.”

The new camera has a Makeup mode that smoothes and adjusts for best skin tones, and a new Night Scene mode, which detects and analyzes low light scenes and automatically adjusts for best results. The new camera also includes Casio’s Dynamic Photo feature, which allows the photographer to combine multiple images into a moving, Motion JPEG (MPEG) right in the camera.

The landscape mode in the camera comprises of Vivid Landscape and Mist Removal options. Vivid landscape identifies and improves vital colors in the landscape while the mist removal option corrects the unclear pictures captured in misty weather.

Casio Exilim hi-zoom EX-H10 digital camera will be available in July this year for $299.99 (approx Rs.14, 222).
