Asus has introduced two new GPS-enabled smartphone M20 and G60 in the Indian market in alliance with Garmin Ltd.
The nuvifone M20 has a 2.8-inch touch screen, is the lightest phone in its category at 99 grams and runs the Windows Mobile 6.5 operating system.
Other specs of Asus M20 are 3 megapixel camera, 4 GB or 8 GB of built-in storage model, WiFi, HSDPA, accelerometer and GPS with Geotagging.
The nuvifone G60 sports a 3.5 inch screen. It is a Linux based smartphone; has a 3-megapixel camera with auto-focus and geo-tagging; and has talk time of upto 4 hours. It has capacity of 4GB as internal storage that can be expanded upto 16 GB with the microSD card. Asus G60 is equipped with “advanced mobile HTML web browser,” Wi-FI, Bluetooth, USB connectivity. and a built-in GPS receiver. Asus G60 dimensions are 112 X 58.1 X 14.6mm.
The Nuvifone G60 and M20 have a full HTML browser that customers can easily zoom in or pan with their finger, and pages may be viewed in either portrait or landscape. Users can surf the web on their phone via Wi-Fi or 3G networks, and the pages are represented similar to a PC browser.
Apart from the navigation applications of the phones, G60 and M20 have almost all the features that a “normal” mobile phone incorporates such as SMS text messaging, email service and many more. These phones come with the ‘car-finder’ feature which helps the user to easily find his car even in an outdoor parking.
Both the phones are available in India for Rs. 30,000.
