HP launches 6 new notebooks in India

Hewlett-Packard has launched six new laptops in Indian market. The company introduced a new series of laptops catering to personal lifestyle computing along with a new notebook targeted at business computing users. The six new models are in the dv2 series, dv3 series, dv6 series, HP Mini 110 series, Compaq 610 series and the HP Pro Book. Equipped with latest features, the new range of notebooks is priced between Rs. 22,990 and Rs. 50,990.

HP Mini 110 is designed for internet-centric audience. Available in three colors Pink Chic, Black Swirl and White Swirl, the notebook is ideal for fashion conscious audience. HP Mini 110 is priced at Rs 22,990 plus taxes. HP Mini 110 notebook is powered by an Intel Atom (N270/280) processor paired with the Intel 945GSE chipset. The 10.1-inch Mini 110 comes with a 1GB DDR2 RAM and 160GB 5400RPM internal storage, Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition. The notebook weighs 1.17 kg.

Compaq 610 notebook PC is designed for mobile users looking for a low-cost notebook. Featuring a 15.6-inch diagonal LED-backlit HD display with 16:9 ratio, the notebook packs Intel Core 2 Duo processors and Windows Vista Business. Weighing 2.49 kgs, price starts from Rs 33,500. The notebook is also equipped with integrated 2 megapixel Webcam, integrated microphone and Wi-Fi Certified WLAN. Compaq 610 features a secure hard drive mounting method called DriveGuard that helps reduce shock to hard drive.

For business users, HP launched ProBook Notebook PC series. The new ProBook models packs mercury-free design and features high-definition (HD) LED backlit displays in a choice of 14-inch, 15.6-inch and 17.3-inch diagonal widescreen sizes. ProBook is equipped with HP QuickLook 2 software, which provides access to email, calendar, task and contact information. For data security, File Sanitizer permanently deletes individual files, folders and personally identifiable information from the notebook. The series also has a SpareKey feature that addresses the hassle of forgotten passwords by using a sequence of three predetermined personal identification questions to gain immediate entry into the system. The pricing starts from Rs 40,990.

In the HP Pavilion series, the 12.1-inch HP Pavilion dv2 features AMD’s Athlon Neo platform processors (single or dual-core) paired with AMD M690G chipset that has S8600 Southbridge. With a capacity to add up to 4GB RAM, one can add up to 500GB of internal storage. The dv2 has 12.1-inch LED Backlit WXGA display supporting 1280×800 pixel resolution. For HD multimedia experience, HP packs ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3410 with 512MB video memory and also HDMI port. This notebook comes with glossy stylish finish for a price starting at Rs. 38, 490 plus taxes.

HP Pavilion dv3 entertainment notebook PC packs advanced NVIDIA GeForce G105M dedicated video graphics, Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500 and 512MB dedicated video memory. Featuring a 13.3-inch diagonal LED widescreen display with the 16:9 widescreen panel, the notebook has integrated webcam and dual digital microphones. It is priced at Rs 50,990 plus taxes. The notebook is available in HP Moonlight White and Espresso Black imprints.

Featuring a 15.6-inch high-definition display with 16:9 widescreen dimensions, HP Pavilion dv6 series notebook PC packs Intel Core2 Duo Mobile Processor P8600 (2.40GHz). The notebook has Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD or ATI Radeon HD4650 graphics cards with 1GB of dedicated video memory. The notebook has fingerprint reader, integrated web camera and microphones. HP Pavilion dv6 packs Windows Vista Home Premium. Available in Espresso Black colour, the pricing starts from Rs 40,990 plus taxes.
