HP to offer GNU/Linux-based operating systems

HP is planning to provide GNU/Linux-based operating systems to its business desktop customers. This new offer desktop more profitable and safer options (GNU / Linux systems are considered more secure operating systems, compared with Windows and Mac) with SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop from Novell in the HP Compaq dc5850. This joint solution provides integration of applications such as OpenOffice.org, Web browser, multimedia tools, and e-mail, collaboration software and instant messaging to boost the productivity of business customers. This will help small businesses improve their productivity and facilitate their management of technology.
