T-Mobile USA and HTC Corp. has joined hands to unveil the HTC Touch Pro2 phone. A powerful, stylish device with an intuitive touch screen and user interface that enables customers to simplify their communication and mobile Internet experience while staying connected, informed and in control of work and life.
Featuring a 3.6-inch color WVGA touchscreen that slides back and tilts up to reveal a full-QWERTY keyboard, the screen is perfectly positioned for reading and creating e-mail, browsing the Web, using applications, and playing videos and games. It displays 65,000 colors and has a 480 x 800 pixel resolution. Enabled for T-Mobile’s expanding high-speed 3G network and Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g), the HTC Touch Pro2 offers fast data delivery and an enhanced Web-browsing experience along with popular features such as built-in GPS and location-based services.

HTC and T-Mobile have a history of introducing groundbreaking products, and this collaboration continues with the debut of this highly anticipated device to the U.S. market.”
Other features include a 3.2-megapixel camera with autofocus, Straight Talk technology that integrates e-mail, voice and speakerphone experience into a simple manner that responds to e-mail via a call, making it a snap to organize conference calls from group e-mail.
This phone will run Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.1 on a 528 MHz processor from Qualcomm, with 288 MB of RAM and 512 ROM. There is a MicroSD card slot for expansion. The HTC Touch Pro2 measures 5.62 x 11.6 x 1.67 cms and weighs 178.5 grams. The provided 1500mAh Lithium-Ion battery is rated at 8.5 hours of talk time and up to 20 days of stand by time.
The Touch Pro2 will be available starting August 12 and will come in a mocha finish.
