LG has recently announced two new mid-range mobile phones that are aimed at providing spectacular social networking service access: the GT505 and GW520 touchscreen handsets.
The aim of the two new LG mobile phones is to allow users to instantly access social networking alerts and feeds as well as offering push email support and Exchange Activesync which can be used to store business contacts.
Mobile users can now be at the core of their online communities irrespective of the time or place. With these new LG handsets, they can feel free to push updates from popular social networking sites along with both business and personal emails. The mobiles are bundled with smart messaging functions that are also easy-to-use. The handsets are claimed to be the first from the company that push social networking updates.
The LG GW520 has made messaging easy be it via social networks, email or SMS and IM. A 2.8? full touch screen and the full slide-out QWERTY keypad make the handset compact and handy. Better connectivity features like HSPDA 7.2 and the WAP 2.0 browser and a 3 mega pixel camera are also included. The 3G enabled handset also supports WAP 2.0 browser. In addition to this, the phone also consists of LG’s LiveSquare attribute. This feature allows users to see the friends they speak to the most, often appearing as an animated character on the homescreen. At the click of a button, users gain quick and easy access to a contact with these functions.
As for the GT505, this one looks similar to the GW520 but lack QWERTY keyboard though. This one too happens to be social networking ready. The GT505 has a 5 megapixel camera, a 76mm touch screen, WiFi and HSDPA Internet speed at only 3.6Mbps, GPS navigational system. It is designed to offer easy navigation through WisePilot for LG. The turn-by-turn navigation solution, WisePilot is preloaded in the handset as a 30-day free trial. It provides users voice instructions along with 2D or 3D mapping that should guide them to their destination.
The LG GW520 will be available across most networks in June 2009 while the GT505 will be available for Orange subscribers.
