LG has launched its second Android based smartphone in India namely LG Optimus GT540. LG Optimus runs Android 1.6 operating system but it will be upgraded to 2.1 and is powered by Qualcomm MSM7227 600 Mhz processor.

LG Optimus comes with a 3 inch HVGA resistive touchscreen display, 3 megapixel autofocus camera with geotagging, 114 MB internal memory, external memory of up to 32GB via microSD card slot ( 2GB card included). LG Optimus also features music player, video player, Stereo FM radio with RDS, 3.5 mm audio jack, Wi-Fi, GPS, A-GPS, Bluetooth 2.1 connectivity and Li-Ion 1500 mAh battery.
LG Optimus supports HSDPA 900 / 2100 and GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 network and comes preloaded with social networking integration with Facebook, Twitter, access to Google services, Task Killer, OI file manager, Layar, Wapedia, Foursquare, Ndrive, Dictionary,Wikitude, LG App Advisor, Shopsavvy, Qik, Shazam, PicSay Pro application.
LG Optimus is priced at Rs 12,990.
