LG Electronics (LG) has released the new Chocolate handset LG-BL40. The fourth handset of the Black Label Series will be offered in Europe from mid-September, with other countries to follow.
The BL 40 has an extra wide 4 inch, WVGA (800 x345pixel) screen with a 21:9 aspect ratio. The device is a touchscreen that supports multitouch. Other features of the LG BL40 include 7.2 HSDPA connectivity for fast Internet browsing, 370h stand-by, talk time of 5hr in 3G network while 6hrs in 2G network, 5 megapixel camera with Schneider Kreuznach optics, Bluetooth, WiFi, FM Radio, video recording, and microSD card slot and fast email.
The new phone comes in a slim shape casing with glossy black finish and iconic red highlights. The new handset also has a curved scratch-resistant glass surface. The measurements of the BL40 are 128 x 51 x 10.9mm and the weight is 129g. The phone comes packed with 1GB internal memory, which can be further expanded using microSD memory card slot up to 32GB.
The intuitive and upgraded S-Class UI featuring finger-friendly 3D graphics makes the LG mobile phone more user-friendly. The New Chocolate BL40 is optimized for internet browsing and web contents that can be copied and pasted onto schedulers or text messages with a simple touch. The dual screen UI will enable viewing two types of content at a time.
Beginning with the UK, the new LG Chocolate will be released across Europe in September and will be expanded to the rest of the world from October. The pricing and availability of the handset are still under wraps.
