LG has unveiled its first small desktop computer dubbed the XPION X30. Packed inside a small, black chassis, which can be attached to the back of an LCD monitor.
LG’s XPION X30 is powered by 1.6GHz Intel Atom N230 processor paired with Nvidia ION graphics chipset. The Nvidia Ion chipset that the nettop incorporates is said to be capable of playing high definition videos along with graphically demanding applications like games.
The X30 only weighs 2.4lbs and only draws 40 watts of power; it also has six USB ports. It also has 2GB of RAM and a 250GB hard disk drive and Microsoft’s Windows Vista operating system. However, the later is certain to be replaced by Windows 7.
The pricing and availability details of the X30 are yet to be revealed.
