Motorola unveils a new Bluetooth headset, Motorola Endeavor HX1, the first headset to combine Motorola’s CrystalTalk(TM) noise cancellation technology with a stealth mode so you can hear and be heard in the fiercest environments.
The Endeavor has a one-touch activated stealth mode. Pressing it turns on the bone-conduction technology, which uses an ear sensor to seal off outside noise. The sensor then measures your vocal vibrations and then translates them into clear speech. Motorola promises that, no matter how loud your surroundings are, you will be heard.
“Motorola Endeavor HX1 adds a new level of audio superiority to our industry leading portfolio and is made for people who want the freedom to take hands-free calls despite extreme noise and wind environments,” said Wayne White, corporate vice president, companion products, Motorola Mobile Devices.
Motorola says that the bone conduction technology used for the Endeavor HX1 is similar to that used by special military forces. The device even features Multipoint technology to connect the HX1 headset to permit more than one device.
It is compatible with Bluetooth 2.1 and providing up to seven hours of talk-time, The HX1 is launching in China this July, but it should be available to the rest of the world over the next few months. The price of HX1 was not announced yet.
