Motorola has made the Motorola Entice W766 mobile handset official, a handset which was previously known as the Motorola Harmony W766. The Entice is a simple clamshell that provides “one touch access to your favorite functions”.
The Entice features a 2.2-inch internal TFT display with a resolution of 176×220 pixels, 2 megapixel camera with video recording, threaded messaging, bluetooth, and built-in music player, 2.5-mm headset jack and 35MB of internal memory upgradeable to 8GB via microSD. The new phone comes with CDMA 800/1900 1X/EVDO connectivity.
Other specification of the handset include a web browser, support for email and instant messaging, a music player, and support for Verizon’s VZ Navigator. It supports AAC, H.263, H.264, MP3, MPEG-4, WMA9, eAAC+, WMV v9, MIDI, AAC+ video formats and presents a video playback rate of up to 15 fps. The handset measures 3.8 x 1.9 x 0.7 inches and weighs 3.6 ounces.
The phone is expected to hit the markets on September 22, 2009 via Verizon Wireless. The Motorola Entice would probably be retailed for $39.99 with a 2 year contract after a $50 mail-in rebate.
