MSI has added two new models to its Classic series notebook namely CX420 and CR420. The CX420 and CR420 are powered by New 2010 Intel core processor and HM55 chipset. The CX420 has a built-in ATi Radeon HD5470 discrete graphics card with 1GB DDR3 VRAM. The CX420 and CR420 notebooks comes with a 14 inch LED-backlit display with 16:9 cinematic aspect ratio, 2.5″ 250/ 320/ 500GB SATA HDD, DDRIII 1066/800 MHz SO-DIMM slot x 2 (up to 4GB) memory and 1.3 megapixel webcam. The notebooks support 802.11 b/g/ draft N, Bluetooth V2.1 connectivity, 4 in 1 card reader, HDMI, D-sub, USB 2.0 x 3, Mic-in, Headphone out, RJ-45, Kensington lock port. These notebooks have a dimension of 344.4 x 221 x 13.5~28 mm and weigh less than 2.2 kgs.
The CX420 and CR420 come preinstalled with Windows 7 Home Premium operating system and are powered by 6 cell battery. The CX420 and the CR420 feature the latest in Chiclet keyboards and MSI’s distinctive seamless touch-pad. The CX420 and the CR420 come with MSI’s exclusive ECO Engine energy-saving technology that allows choosing from five power management modes: Gaming, Movie, Presentation, Office, and Turbo Battery.
Price of MSI CX420 and CR420 laptops are not announced yet.
