MSI has announced its two new the GX623 and the GX633 gaming notebook. Both of these notebook PCs have 15.4-inch displays and are perfect for the gamer crowd and offer specs to suit the demands of the latest games on two price point and feature levels.
The GX633 selects the brand new ECO Engine, the outstanding and unique power saving function by MSI Notebook, as the power management function to extend the battery running time while performing different tasks. , The notebook includes an Eco quick launch touch sensor that Toggles between 5 different modes-Gaming mode, Movie mode, Presentation mode, Office mode, and Turbo Battery mode while performing game applications, playing multimedia applications, performing presentation applications, dealing with office documentation tasks, or looking forward to minimizing the battery power consumption.
The new GX623, gaming enthusiasts will be able to take advantage of some of the latest Intel Core 2 Duo processors and ATI’s Radeon HD4670 graphics card, featured on Intel’s Centrino 2 platform. The notebook is packed with 512MB of DDR3 graphics memory and offers support for up to 4GB of DDR2 system memory. Additionally, it can be equipped with a 500GB SATA hard drive and a 6 – or 9-cell battery pack. The system also offers a choice for either a DVD or a Blu-Ray optical drive. Around 2.7kg in weight, the ultra-portable notebook also comprises of a 2.0MP webcam, 2 speakers, optional Bluetooth, 802.11n wireless LAN support, 4-in-1 card reader.
The AMD-powered GX633 offers similar features to the GX623, but comes equipped with a Turion X2 Ultra Dual-Core mobile processor and NVIDIA’s GeForce 130M GT mobile GPU. The system is packed with 512MB of DDR3 memory and graphics, as the GX623, also offers support for a maximum of 4GB of DDR2 system memory. Coming with a copy of Microsoft’s Windows Vista Home Premium, the GX633 boasts support Gigabit Ethernet, wireless 802.11 b / g / n connectivity (with optional Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR), 4-in-1 card reader, 3 USB ports, a 2MP webcam and a choice for a 3-cell or a 6-cell battery pack.
They have an aluminum base with metallic threads on the cover which add to the beauty of these power houses. The wasd colorful keys have been made to allow easy and fast access while gaming because every second counts. There is no word from MSI concerning pricing or availability dates of the NETBOOK.
