MSI has announced the launch of the Ultra-slim and lightweight MSI Wind U160 notebook. The screen display measures 10.1-inches with the resolution of 1024×600 pixels. The MSI notebook uses the Pine trail platform along with the N450 Atom processor.

MSI Wind U160 is powered by 1.66GHz Intel Atom N450 processor with Intel NM10 chipset and GMA 3150 graphic. It comes with a Genuine Windows 7 Starter operating system, DDR2 667 support up to 2 GB,160 GB or above 2.5 inch SATA HDD, 2 in 1 card reader, D-sub , USB 2.0 , Mic-in, Headphone, RJ45, 3 cells/ 6 cell battery and 1.3 megapixel webcam.
The MSI Wind U160 has built-in 802.11 b/g/n capability, Bluetooth V2.0 EDR, and supports 3.5G (Enhanced Third Generation) mobile communications. MSI Wind U160 measures an inch thick and weighs less than 1kg with 3 cell battery and provides battery run-time of up to 15 hours. The laptop casing features MSI’s unique color-film-print (CFP) technology with a two-color – Fancy Gold and Jet Black – color scheme. It also comes with a chiclet keyboard and seamless touchpad.
The MSI Wind U160 will be available from March 2010 priced at £329.
