MSI has announced the launch of new range of X-Slim notebook, the MSI X420. The X420 comes with a 14 inch HD widescreen display in 16:9 ratio.
The X420 features the Intel CULV ultra-portable and energy-efficient platform It is powered by an Intel Core 2 Duo processor with ATi Mobility Radeon HD 5430 3D external graphics card with 1GB DDR3 VRAM and SRS-certified audio.

It has a battery life of 9 hours. The X420 comes in a cappuccino brown color and MSI’s distinctive Chiclet keyboard with multipoint touch-pad.
The X420 features MSI’s exclusive 3D Boost technology. The X420 has support for 3G and WiMAX, thus enabling wireless connectivity and mobile operating efficiency at all times. The X420 also has a built-in MSI-exclusive face recognition program called EasyFace, which provides high-grade information security protection.
The X420 comes with Windows 7 Home Premium preinstalled. Other features of the X420 include 2 in 1 (SD/MMC) card reader, HDMI, D-sub, 2 USB 2.0, e-SATA, Mic-in, Headphone out, RJ-45, Kensington lock port, Intel Shirley Peak, Bluetooth V2.1, 1.3 megapixel webcam and a choice of 4 or 8 cell battery . It measures 35.0cm x 23.4cm x 2.41cm and weighs 1.88 kg with 4 cell battery.
