Nokia 5235 Touchscreen Handset Launched

Nokia has announced the launch of the new Nokia 5235 music phone. The Nokia 5235 Comes With Music is a low cost touchscreen smartphone. It comes with the “Comes With Music” service loaded. Users can download unlimited music through Music store of Nokia as the company provides free access to the store with the handset. There are also dedicated music keys for complete musical experience.

The Nokia 5235 will boast a 3.2-inch resistive touchscreen with 360 x 640 pixels along with a 3.5mm jack and full access to the Nokia Ovi store.

The handset also features 2 Megapixel camera with CMOS sensor and up to 3x digital zoom, a 1320 mAh battery that can provide up to 33 hours of music playback on full charge and FM radio. The Nokia 5235 comes with 320 MB internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 16 GB via a MicroSD memory card slot. The device weighs 115 grams with dimensions of 111 x 51.7 x 15.5 mm. It is available in black and white shades with ice-blue colored rim.

The Nokia 5235 has an in-build GPS – Integrated GPS, A-GPS receivers and comes with Nokia Maps 3.0. There’s no WiFi support on the 5235, but it does support HSDPA downloads of up to 3.6 Mbps. the Nokia 5235 is equipped with Bluetooth 2.0 A2DP and runs on Symbian 60 operating system with ARM 11 434 MHz processor. The Nokia 5235 is powered with BL-5J 1320 mAh Li-Ion battery, which supports maximum talk time of 420 minutes on GSM network and 258 minutes on WCDMA network and stand-by time of up to 458 hours (2G) / up to 438 hours (3G).

The Nokia 5235 is expected to hit the market in the first quarter of 2010 with a price of $210 (approx.)
