Nokia have launched the 5530 XpressMusic in the UK. The touchscreen phone should come in the country via Carphone Warehouse, as the retailer managed to get six-week exclusivity on the handset. The 5530 XpressMusic was announced back in June 2009.
Introduced as a cheaper and smaller version of the popular 5800 XpressMusic, The Nokia 5530 features a 2.9-inch touchscreen display, a 3.2 megapixel camera with autofocus and LED flash, 70MB of internal memory, 4GB memory-card storage, and Symbian S60 5th Edition, photo and video editing along with MP3 player and media player.
Other features include a 3.5mm standard audio jack and stereo speakers, quad-band GSM connectivity, Wi-Fi, yet it does not include some high-end capabilities like a GPS receiver or 3G connectivity. It weighs in at just 107 grams and comes in a choice of 5 colors.
The phone will be available from August 11 onwards on pay-as-you-go for £130 and is already available for an online pre-order. No word yet on when exactly the Nokia 5530 XM will be available in other European markets.
