Nokia has launched an 18-carat gold-plated version of its Nokia 6700 Classic handset. The classic gold edition boasts of stainless steel covers with real gold plating of 18 carats. The Nokia 6700 classic gold edition comes with a full metal keymat and matching mobile accessories like a natural leather carrying case and strap. The new phone also comes with some special wallpapers.
The Nokia 6700 Classic Gold Edition runs on Symbian S40 OS. The ‘Gold’ version sports 2.2 inch QVGA display with 16 million colors. This handset includes 5 mega-pixel camera, 8GB microSD flash memory card, FM radio, Bluetooth, audio and video player, A-GPS, 3G connectivity, Accelerometer, Ovi Maps and noise cancellation technology. It also features 170MB built-in memory.
The Nokia 6700 classic Gold Edition will be available in select markets by the first quarter of 2010 with an estimated price of $546.
