Nokia has introduced a local market place on mobile, “Nokia Listings” in Indian market. Current available version is beta for Indian market with local content. The application is meant to connect Buyers/Sellers, Jobseekers/Employers. This application works on mid-end phones as well, as it works via SMS if GPRS is not enabled on the device.
This application is developed for 3 major services:
Local services i.e. like plumbers, architects, lawyers, etc in your locality
Jobs i.e. post jobs as employer and search jobs as seeker
Buy and Sell i.e. post and search items for buy and sell.
As of now this listing data is available for Bangalore (India) in the categories of Jobs, Mobile Phones, Autos and Local Services.
