Nokia has officially announced the availability of the latest high end smartphone the Nokia N8, the first handset from Nokia to run the Symbian ^3 operating system.

The Nokia N8 features a 3.5 inch capacitive touchscreen with 640x 320 pixels resolution and support for multi-touch gestures,12 megapixel camera with Xenon flash and video recording at 720p (HD), 256 MB RAM, 512 MB ROM, 16GB of internal memory and up to 32 GB of external memory through microSD card slot.

The Nokia N8 also comes with a 3G support, integrated GPS, A-GPS with free voice navigation, Bluetooth, microUSB and WiFi b/g/n, GPRS/EDGE connectivity, HDMI out, FM transmitter, FM Radio with RDS and 1200mAh Li-Ion battery. It measures 113.5 x 59.12 x 12.9 mm and weighs 135 grams and is available in Dark Grey, Silver White, Green, Blue and Orange colors.
It also features integration of range of social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter and updates are delivered direct to the homescreen, instant messaging support, global Ovi Maps walk and drive navigation, Web TV programs and Ovi Store applications and Nokia OVI services.
The estimated retail price of the Nokia N8 is 370 EUR and will be available in the third quarter of 2010.
