Samsung recently announced the introduction of two new mini notebooks. Called the N110 and the N120, the notebooks take portable computing to new levels with their advanced capabilities. The notebooks should cater to both personal and business user.
The two machines share some of the same features including an Intel Atom N270 CPU running at 1.6GHz, Windows XP Home, 1GB of RAM, a 10.1-inch 1024 x 600 LED backlit LCD, and a 160GB HDD.
Incorporated with 160GB 5400 rpm SATA HDD, the notebooks additionally support 802.11b/g, Bluetooth, 10/100 RJ45 Ethernet, three USB ports, a 3-in-1 card reader, 1.3 megapixel web camera and a VGA out. The notebooks are also integrated with a 6-cell lithium ion battery, headphone-out and built-in microphone. Both notebooks wrap in a 3W stereo speaker. The N120 in addition includes a dedicated subwoofer that delivers high quality audio output.

Kim, President of Samsung Electronics America’s Information Technology Division. “With the addition of the N110 and N120, we have expanded our lineup with enhanced battery life, multi-media speakers and a larger keyboard and touchpad. These key features will satisfy the needs of users looking for audio video capabilities, while also supporting the road warriors needing extended battery life.”
The N110 notebook is about 10.27” (W) x 1.19” (H) x 7.3” (D) in dimensions and weighs just 2.78 lbs while the N120 notebook is around 10.71 (W) x 1.71 (H) x 7.4 (D) in dimensions. Other attributes specific to the N110 notebook are battery life of around 9 hours and 93% full size keyboard. As for the N120 notebook it offers a battery life of around 6 hours and sports a 97% keyboard.
Both the Samsung N110 and the N120 are available now through the company’s website and other online retailers for a price of $469 and $459 respectively.
