Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd., a leading mobile phone provider, unveiled the i7500, its first Android-powered mobile phone. With a launch of i7500, Samsung became the first company among the global top three mobile phone manufacturers to unveil an Android-powered phone.
It has a 5 megapixel camera with autofocus and a high resolution screen for watching content, 3.2 inch AMOLED full touchscreen, and 7.2Mbps HSDPA, 5.76Mbps HSUPA 3G Internet access. All of this and the device is less than half an inch thick (11.9mm). The I7500 also provides a long enough battery life (1500mAh) and generous memory capacity up to 40GB (Internal memory: 8GB, External memory: Up to 32GB) to enjoy all the applications and multimedia content.
Connectivity additionally comes via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, and users have access to Google Mobile services such as Google Search, Google Maps, Gmail, YouTube, Google Calendar and GoogleTalk.An integrated GPS receiver offers more comprehensive use of Google Maps features, including My Location, Street View and route directions.
The Samsung i7500 will be available in major European countries from June 2009.For a price that will be announced later on.
