Samsung has officially announced its much awaited first Android tablet namely Samsung Galaxy Tab (GT-P1000) at IFA. Galaxy Tab runs Android 2.2(Froyo) OS and is powered by Cortex A8 1.0GHz processor.

Samsung Galaxy Tab is equipped with a 7 inch TFT WSVGA touchscreen display with 1024 x 600 pixels resolution, 3 megapixel autofocus camera with LED Flash, 1.3 megapixel front camera for Video calling, Full HD (1080p) video playback, 512 MB RAM, internal memory of 16GB or 32GB internal and support for up to 32G external memory slot.

Samsung Galaxy Tab supports HSUPA 5.76Mbps, HSDPA 7.2Mbps, EDGE, GPRS, GSM network and features Wi-Fi 802.11n, Bluetooth 3.0, A-GPS, Adobe Flash Player 10.1, Swype, Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync, Gyroscope sensor, Geo-magnetic sensor, Accelerometer, Light sensor and 4000 mAh battery. It also has some additional features like Readers Hub, Media Hub, Music Hub and Social Hub and access to Android Market and Samsung Apps.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab will be launched in Europe in mid September, and in other markets including Korea, the US and Asia in coming months.
