Samsung has launched its new Google Android powered smartphone, the Samsung i5700 Galaxy Spica in India. Samsung Galaxy Spica i5700 is powered by an 800MHz CPU and Android 1.5 (Cupcake).

The Galaxy Spica features 3.2 inch HVGA TFT touchscreen display, 3 mega-pixel camera, an internal memory of 180 MB, expandable memory up to 32 GB. the new phone comes with a slim design being only 13.2 mm thick. The Samsung I5700 Galaxy Spica also features quad band GSM / EDGE / HSDPA connectivity, built in GPS, Bluetooth 2.1, WiFi and a 3.5mm headphone jack and a 1500mAh battery.
The Galaxy Spica offers users access to the full suite of Google Mobile Services, including Google Search, Google Maps, Gmail, YouTube, Google Calendar, GTalk and other applications and games available in the Android Market. The Spica will also support Microsoft ActiveSync that makes it easy to synchronize e-mail between the smart phone and a PC. The Spica will also be the first Android handset to include support for DivX video playback and also has Accelerometer, Proximity Sensor and Digital Compass.
The Samsung Galaxy Spica is priced at Rs. 14750.
