Sony Ericsson launches W995 Walkman Phone

Sony Ericsson has announced another addition to its Walkman series dubbed as the W995 in India. The handset incorporates various features like unique home theatre system, Media Go, clear audio experience and SenseMe technology.

This handset features an 8.1 megapixel camera along with LED flash, face detection, smile shutter and 16x digital zoom. The phone incorporates a 2.6-inch display with powerful speakers and 3.5mm audio jack.

At the launch of the device, Sudhin Mathur, General Manager, Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications India commented, “Mobile phones today are at the epicenter of our digital lives and are increasingly looked upon as a getaway to entertainment-on-the-go. With the launch of Sony Ericsson W995 walkman phone, we are making an attempt to converge mobile entertainment by bringing together best quality video experience, premium imaging and music features and great connectivity options.”

The 97mm x 49mm x 15mm phone weighs only 113g. The battery provides a talktime of up to 9 hours and a standby time of up to 370 hours. It also included is an 8GB memory card and high-speed internet access with Wi-Fi networks.

The phone bundles up various accessories like 8GB Memory Stick Micro, USB Cable, HPM-77 headset, MS410 pocket home theatre system and Sony Ericsson PC Suite. The phone is also capable of streaming 3D games and YouTube video.

The Sony Ericsson W995 Walkman phone is now available for purchase at a price of Rs. 26,786.
