Sony Ericsson has announced two new Android powered phones called the Mini X10 and Mini X10 Pro. They are compact versions of Xperia X10. Both the handset is powered by 600 MHz Qualcomm processor and runs Android 1.6 operating system. The X10 mini is a touchscreen bar whilst the Pro sports a sliding QWERTY keyboard.

The Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini and Mini Pro features a 2.55 inch QVGA scratch resistant touchscreen display, 5 megapixel autofocus camera with LED Flash, 128 MB of internal storage, upgradeable to 16GB using a microSD card (2GB MicroSD card in the box).

The X10 Mini and Mini Pro come with A-GPS, Google Maps, 3.5mm headset jack, WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP, microUSB 2.0, music player and stereo FM radio as well as quad-band GSM/EDGE, dual-band HSDPA, HSUPA connectivity. They also come with the Timescape application that integrates text messages and social networking updates Both devices boast of a webkit web browser and other facilities embracing e-mail, IM, Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync, MMS, SMS and predictive text input.
The X10 mini measures 83 x 50 x 16 mm in and weighs 88 grams only and the X10 Mini Pro measures 90 x 52 x 17 mm and weighs 120 grams. The X10 mini will be available in white, black, pink, lime, red and silver while Mini Pro will only be available in black and red. The X10 mini and Mini Pro will be available in selected markets from Q2 2010.
