Sony has announced the launch of its latest notebook, VAIO W Series in India. The VAIO W series notebook is small and stylish and continues in the trend of mini notebooks which are ideal for email, instant messaging, and browsing the Internet.
The VAIO W has a 10.1-inch 1366×768 LED-backlit LCD display. It comes sporting a widescreen format that lets you view full-width web pages without side-scrolling, offering a full size notebook experience. VAIO W Series is powered by Atom N280 processor at 1.66 Ghz, 1 GB of RAM all running on a Intel 945GSE Express chipset.
The VAIO W Series include an isolated keyboard together with springy and responsive keys that make it comfortable and easy to use. Apart from this, the device has a carefully designed touchpad, mouse keys. The VAIO W notebook is available in three vibrant colors, berry pink, sugar white and cocoa brown.
The notebook comes with VAIO Multimedia Suite, a collection of video and photo editing tools that make it easy to create your own high-quality home movies, slideshows and more. With VAIO Media plus, user can stream photos, videos and music from the W and enjoy it all through your PLAYSTATION3 (or other DLNA devices) on your compatible TV.
Other key specs include a 160GB HDD, SD and Memory Stick PRO Duo card slots, Bluetooth, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, webcam, two USB ports, VGA out, microphone and Ethernet. It comes pre-installed with Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition operating system. It measures 267.8×179.6×27.5 – 32.4mm, weighs 1.19 kg and has a battery backup of 2.5 hours.
The VAIO W Series mini notebook retails for Rs. 29,990/- at all Sony Center stores and retail partners across the country.
