Sony has announced the new W-Series Walkman MP3 Player, the NWZ-W202 in India, mainly targeted at the young generation who like to listen to music while exercising and would prefer wire-free listening experience. The NWZ-W202 model eliminates the inconvenience of wires and makes it easier to listen to music virtually anywhere, anytime.
The NWZ-W202 comes with 13.5mm EX Headphones with soft silicon earbuds. The wireless Walkman W series NWZ-W202 sports a very refreshing colorful design and the player itself fits comfortably behind the ears. Both compact rectangular audio modules, measuring about 2 x 0.8 inch and 0.4-inch deep, attach to one another via a flexible, twisting neckband.
The new W-series Walkman MP3 player includes Sony’s ZAPPIN function, which offers an effortless way of browsing, searching and listening to music without a display. The headphones also have a jog dial with playback buttons, the volume control options and a shuffle switch. User has option to configure a longer snippet of 15-seconds and shorter one of 4-seconds each and pressing the Jog button would start playing the song..
The Sony NWZ-W202 supports MP3, AAC, WMA (DRM), L-PCM and WMT file formats and sports 2GB storage. Its battery supports up to 12 hours of music playback. It also has a quick charge feature that allows users to play back up to 90 minutes of music with only a three minute charge.
The model comes in various colors such as black, pink, white, purple and lime. A custom music transfer software lets users move non-DRM files from online stores like iTunes by dragging and dropping. These headphones resides a built-in Li-ion rechargeable battery which accepts USB-based charging.
The Sony NWZ-W202 Walkman Wireless MP3 player is available in India for Rs. 4,990 with one year warranty.
