Sprint and HTC has announced the availability of the world first 3G/4G Android handset dubbed as HTC EVO 4G. The HTC EVO runs on Android 2.1 with HTC Sense interface and Friendstream and is powered by 1GHz Snapdragon processor. The HTC EVO 4G is the first WiMAX-enabled phone on Sprint. The EVO features rounded edges and a glossy black finish.
The HTC EVO 4G has a 4.3 inch WVGA capacitive touchscreen display with 800 x 480 pixel resolution, 8 megapixel camera capable of 720p video recording capabilities and a 1.3 megapixel front facing camera. The phone also has 1GB of built-in storage, along with 512MB of RAM, an 8GB microSD card, HDMI out802.11b/g WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1, 3.5mm headset jack, FM radio and 1500 mAh battery.
The HTC EVO 4G will be available in Sprint retail channels starting this summer. Price is yet to be announced.
