Samsung and Sprint have launched the new M240, an affordable Samsung clamshell cell phone that focuses on basic phone functionality like making calls and sending text messages.
The low end mobile phone packages internal as well as external display. It measures 1.85 x 3.6 x 0.74 inches, weighs in at 3.0 oz and includes a 960 mAh Li-Ion battery that can deliver up to 6.5 hours of continuous talk time. The handset has a metallic silver finishing and large key which helps in simplifying texting.
The mobile phone is inclusive of Sprint’s wireless backup service that restores contact information incase the handset is lost, stolen, damaged or replaced. Users can opt for either English or Spanish for all voice and text menu prompts. Users can now access websites instantly and easily via the Sprint handset
Comprised with global positioning system, HAC rating of M4 for hearing aids, acoustic mode operation, the clamshell Samsung handset is especially adjusted with some TTY devices. With speaker-independent voice dialing capability, users just need to call out the name of a contact present in the phonebook and the number is dialed automatically without using the keypad.
The Samsung M240 is now available for US$19.99 with a 2-year agreement.
