The T-mobile has launched its new addition of the latest Smartphone, the RIM BlackBerry Curve 8520.
The BlackBerry Curve 8520 offers up a 2.64 inch QVGA display, a 320 x 240 pixels display, along with a 2 megapixel camera, Bluetooth 2.0 with EDR, 256MB memory expandable via microSDHC slot to 32GB. The phone also comes with WiFi, video recording, and a largish 1,150mAh battery delivering 4.5 hours talk time and up to 17 days standby time. The mobile has the measurements of 4.3 x 2.4 x .5 inches and at a weight of 3.7 ounces.
BlackBerry Curve 8520 is RIM’s first device to have an optical trackpad instead of a trackball. This will be the first model of RIM which has dedicated media keys. These keys are integrated on the top of handset and can be operated with the help of a touch-sensitive optical track pad. The device is claimed to be Mac Ready.
It support from BlackBerry app world, my space and face book mobile apps The Curve 8520 will also be able to push e-mails wirelessly from Web-based providers such as Gmail, Yahoo Mail, and others. There is no 3G and it will be limited to WiFi and EDGE for Internet on the move. The handset also has a GPS chipset for navigation and location-based searches.
BlackBerry Curve 8520 will be available on 5th August at the price band USD 129.99. The mobile will come with a contract of two years and will be available in two colors frost and Black. Also in August, the new Curve 8520 will go on sale in the UK.
