T-Mobile has announced the Samsung Behold II, an Android-powered touchscreen smartphone. Samsung Behold II is the fourth Android based device to be sold by T-Mobile in the US market. The handset includes Samsung’s next-generation TouchWiz user interface, and can deliver a rich mobile experience on T-Mobile’s high-speed 3G network.
The Behold II includes Samsung’s customizable TouchWiz UI.
The TouchWiz user interface allows users to customize and personalize their home screen as well as provide one-touch access to their favorite and most commonly used features and applications.
The Behold II features a 3.2-inch screen, a 5-megapixel photo snapper with auto focus, flash, five shooting modes, and video recording capabilities, and up to 16GB of external memory. In addition, the new Android-based phone also includes WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1 connectivity, built-in GPS, MP3 player, visual voicemail capabilities along with personal and corporate emailing with Exchange Active Sync.
It runs on Google’s Android platform and comes with the Internet search giant’s services such as Google Search, Google Maps, Gmail, YouTube and Google Talk as well as thousands of applications and games from Android Market. In addition, the Behold II features a cube menu that provides access to six multimedia features: music, photos, videos, the Web, YouTube, and Amazon MP3.
The Behold II will become available for purchase exclusively from T-Mobile, and should hit the market before the holiday season. Unfortunately there is no word on pricing or availability as yet.
