Tata Teleservices Limited (TTSL) has announced the launch of its Photon+, a mobile broadband internet device in New Delhi. The mobile broadband service will offer a plug-n-play device for individual and small office/home office users and router for enterprise customers.
Photon+ mobile broadband service offers Mobile Broadband services with speeds upto 3.1Mbps, which allows customers to be connected- for not only mails, but also for downloads, large files uploads, photo sharing, etc. In addition, the device also allows users to send and receive SMS and is compatible with both laptops and desktop PCs.
“The awareness and demand for wireless Internet connectivity is increasing rapidly and with laptop and PC sales showing exponential growth, there is a huge demand for wireless high-speed Internet access,” TTSL Chief Operating Officer (Delhi and NCR) and Regional Head North, Mr Vineet Bhatia said.
Photon+ internet service can be accessed using two devices-Routers for SMEs and Business Enterprises which is configured with an in-built modem and has Wi-Fi capabilities, and the USB-Modem, for individual users and the SOHO segment.
Tata Photon+ is available to both individuals and business customers. Home users would be required to pay Rs 3,500 for the connectivity, for business segment it is available at refundable deposit of Rs. 6999 and one time activation fee of Rs. 1000. Additionally, Mobile broadband packages are available with several tariff options.
