Transcend has announced the launch of its latest digital music player, the MP860 in India. The Transcend MP860 digital music player can not only play music, but can also play movies.
The MP860 digital music player features a 2.4-inch (240 x 320 pixels) high-contrast screen with a full-color TFT display, and built in speakers. Its intuitive interface and navigation buttons ensure easier navigation. The MP860 is also designed for playing MPEG4 SP(XVID) and FLV movies with excellent audio and video quality. For storing videos, music and photos, the MP860 comes with up to 8GB of built-in memory, and also features a microSD/microSDHC expansion slot.
Some other attributes of this Transcend music player are FM radio, voice recorder, built-in microphone, custom playlist builder, power-saving screen savers, auto-shutoff function, page-by-page text file reader and karaoke-style synchronized lyrics display that supports 13 different languages. The MP860 comes equipped with an internal rechargeable Li-Polymer battery offering over 22 hours of continuous music playback. The player also comes with automatic power-off sleep timer.
The MP860 also provides support for different types of file formats such as OGG and FLAC (Free Lossless Audio Codec), in addition to WMA, MP3, WAV as well as WMA-DRM10. The player has advanced equalizer effects and offers SRS WOW HD as well as customizable options for the user.
The MP860 comes with a line-in feature for recording music from an external source such as a CD player. The player’s A-B repeat and variable track playback speeds are valuable tools for language learning. The gadget has hi-speed USB 2.0 port for easy computer connectivity and fast file transfers. It has USB flash drive capabilities for data transfer and storage.
The 4 GB black digital player is available for Rs. 5500 with a 2-year warranty, while the 8 GB white player is available for Rs. 6500 with a 2-year warranty. The Transcend MP860 digital music player is available through Redington, Supertron, Mediaman and Luminous Technologies.
