Verizon to launch HP Mini 1151NR Netbook on 17 May

The first netbook is coming from Verizon on May 17. The HP Mini 1151NR comes with access to Verizon’s high-speed 3G network, The HP Mini 1151NR will be offered for $199 with a 2-year contract after a $50 mail-in rebate and new 2-year activation on a Mobile Broadband plan.

The HP Mini 1151NR will offer you a 10-inch LED display, an Intel Atom N270 1.6GHz processor, 1GB RAM, 80GB hard drive and Windows XP Home, Qualcomm’s global access Gobi chipset, 802.11b/g Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, wired Ethernet (RJ-45), two USB ports, an SD/MMC card slot, and a built-in Web cam. It comes with a 3-cell battery and weighs 1.1kg (2.45lbs). An optional 6-cell battery will also be available from Verizon, but retails for an additional $130.

The specs of the HP Mini 1151NR are as previously thoughtService plans start at $39.99 for 250MB of data per month or $59.99 per month for 5GB a month of data usage. The HP Mini 1151NR will be available in both stores and online from this May 17.
